The Indian compound archery team secured a gold medal, marking India’s 21st gold at the 2023 Asian Games. Meanwhile, the Indian women’s hockey team is currently competing against China in the semi-finals. Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu achieved historic success by winning the first gold medal in squash (mixed doubles). India has already won 20 gold medals at the Asian Games 2023. Additionally, the Indian women’s compound archery team made an excellent start to the day by securing the 19th gold medal. HS Prannoy advanced to the semi-finals in men’s badminton singles and is guaranteed a medal. In the singles final, veteran squash player Saurav Ghosal will also compete. Unfortunately, star shuttler PV Sindhu’s quest for another Asian Games medal came to an end as she lost in the women’s singles quarterfinal to China’s Bingjiao He. Lastly, India’s Antim Panghal and Mansi will compete for bronze medals in women’s freestyle wrestling at 53kg and 50kg, respectively.
