Kalki Dham: The World’s Most Unique Temple Whose Foundation Stone Is Laid By PM Modi

Kalki Dham has recently garnered attention as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone of the Kalki Dham Temple in the Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh on February 19. The temple is being constructed by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, chaired by Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who was recently expelled from the Congress party due to his ‘anti-party remarks.’ The inauguration ceremony, scheduled to commence at 10:30 AM today, will witness the presence of various dignitaries, including religious leaders and saints. Ahead of the foundation laying of the Kalki Dham Temple, let’s delve into its significance, why it is considered the world’s most special temple, and explore its history.

What Is Kalki Dham Temple and Its Significance?

As mentioned earlier, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Kalki Dham Temple today, which is being built by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust under the leadership of former Congress member Acharya Pramod Krishnam. This temple is dedicated to Lord Kalki, the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It holds a special status as it is believed to be the first ‘Dham’ where a temple of God was established before his incarnation. The ten sanctums within the temple will represent the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

Features and Construction Details of Kalki Dham:

The Kalki Dham Temple will occupy a five-acre land and is expected to take approximately five years to complete. Similar to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir and the Somnath Temple, this temple will also be constructed using pink-colored stone. The architectural style will be identical, foregoing the use of steel or iron frames. The temple’s ‘shikhara’ will stand at 108 ft tall, with its platform elevated 11 feet above ground level. Additionally, 68 pilgrimage spots will be established within the premises.

While the Kalki Peeth will remain in its original location, a new idol of Lord Kalki will be crafted, and a Pran Pratishtha ceremony akin to the consecration of the Ram Mandir will be conducted. According to scriptures, upon the incarnation of Lord Kalki, he will be presented with a white horse named ‘Devdutt’ by Lord Shiva, a sword by Lord Parshuram, and education by Lord Brihaspati. These details will be considered during the idol’s creation for the temple.
