Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister-designate of Madhya Pradesh, expressed his commitment to unifying everyone and ensuring good governance just hours before his oath-taking ceremony in Bhopal. He revealed that chief ministers from 11 states would be present at the swearing-in ceremony. Alongside him, Vishnu Deo Sai is set to take the oath as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.
The oath-taking ceremony for Mohan Yadav will take place at Lal Parade Ground in the state capital, while Vishnu Sai will be sworn in at Science College Ground in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, at 2 PM on the same day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and others are expected to attend both ceremonies.
Madhya Pradesh will have two deputy Chief Ministers, Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, and former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will serve as the Assembly Speaker.
The BJP had announced Mohan Yadav as the new Chief Minister earlier in the week. The preparations for the swearing-in ceremony, including the construction of a dome at Lal Parade Ground, are in full swing to accommodate around 30,000 people, including VIP guests.
In anticipation of the ceremony, Mohan Yadav mentioned the presence of key party figures and stated, “I am focusing on how we can serve the people better in my new role, which comes with a position of responsibility.”
