Mukesh Ambani’s Children Join Reliance Board

Reliance Industries made an announcement today, marking the beginning of a new chapter as Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s children, Isha, Akash, and Anant, have been welcomed as directors on the board.

Twins Isha and Akash, both 32 years old, received overwhelming support, with over 98 percent of votes in favor of their appointment to the Reliance board, as indicated in the filing. Anant, at 28 years of age, garnered a substantial 92.75 percent of the votes.

These three Ambani offspring have actively participated in and assumed leadership roles in crucial Reliance businesses in recent years.

Mukesh Ambani, aged 66, has articulated his intention to dedicate the next five years of his chairmanship to preparing them to steer the conglomerate’s transformation into a digital, consumer-oriented, and environmentally responsible powerhouse.

Isha Ambani, an MBA graduate from Stanford University, also spearheads Reliance’s retail division. She is married to Anand Piramal, the son of Indian billionaire Ajay Piramal, whose interests span pharmaceuticals to real estate.

Isha’s twin brother took on the role of Chairman at Reliance Jio Infocomm in June of the previous year, succeeding his father.

Anant, aged 28, is closely involved in the conglomerate’s shift towards renewable energy.
