PM Modi Stands in Solidarity with Israel as Conflict with Hamas Continues

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his solidarity with Israel after receiving a call from his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, who provided an update on the ongoing situation in Israel amid attacks by the Hamas terrorist group. The conversation between the two leaders occurred nearly three days after the start of a brutal conflict between Hamas militants and Israel, resulting in over 1,600 casualties, including Hamas militants.

This marks the second time Prime Minister Narendra Modi has denounced the terrorist attacks on Israel. On Saturday, PM Modi expressed his shock and offered thoughts and prayers for the innocent victims and their families, emphasizing India’s solidarity with Israel during this challenging time. This statement was made on October 7, the same day Hamas launched a multi-pronged offensive against Israel, targeting civilians.

Amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas on Tuesday, Israel unveiled an emergency plan that would be activated if foreign airlines ceased flights to the country entirely. Israel’s Transport Minister, Miri Regev, announced this plan, with the goal of assisting Israeli citizens in returning to the country in case their flights on foreign airlines were canceled. The plan includes increased flights by Israeli airlines at four international airports in New York, Frankfurt, Athens, and Dubai, chosen for their connectivity to global airports.

According to the statement, Israeli airlines have already added more than 20 flights to facilitate the return of over 100,000 Israelis to the country since the conflict began on October 7.”
