#Lok Sabha Elections: Samajwadi Party Unveils Election Manifesto, Pledges Free Education for Girls from Kindergarten to Post Graduation
New Delhi : In the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Election of 2024, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav revealed the party’s manifesto, promising free education for girls from kindergarten to post-graduation.
In the manifesto, Akhilesh Yadav highlighted key objectives including defending the constitution, safeguarding democracy, upholding media freedom, and ensuring social justice.
He emphasized that social justice is crucial for the nation’s development and that inclusive progress cannot occur without a caste census.
While introducing the Samajwadi Party’s manifesto, Akhilesh Yadav stated, “We have named our vision document ‘Janta Ka Maang Patra – Humara Adhikar’. The main objectives of this vision document are defending the constitution, safeguarding democracy, upholding media freedom, and ensuring social justice… social justice is essential for the nation’s development. Inclusive progress cannot be achieved without a caste census. The caste census is pivotal for the nation’s development…”
During the press conference, Akhilesh Yadav announced that the Samajwadi Party will terminate the Agnipath scheme and implement regular recruitment in the armed forces.

- The Samajwadi Party pledges to conduct a caste census by 2025, aiming to ensure justice and representation for all by 2029.
- The Samajwadi Party will abolish the ‘Agnipath’ scheme and establish regular armed forces recruitment.
- Farmers will be guaranteed a minimum support price (MSP) for all crops, calculated based on the Swaminathan formula.
- An Old Pension Scheme (OPS) will be instituted for everyone, including paramilitary personnel.
- Free education will be provided for girls from kindergarten to post-graduation.
