This incident, occurring amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, is being viewed as a potential act of terror. According to reports, the diplomat is in stable condition and is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital.
In a video circulating on social media, it appears that the attack was carried out with a knife. Notably, the location of the attack is not in close proximity to the Israeli embassy, according to Reuters.
The week-long conflict between Israel and Hamas has resulted in a staggering toll, with over 1,200 Israelis and 1,530 Palestinians having suffered casualties, along with thousands of injuries and hundreds of thousands of individuals being displaced.
