Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol recently appeared as guests on the eighth season of “Koffee With Karan,” Karan Johar’s popular talk show. This marked their return to the show after a considerable hiatus, having previously been guests on an earlier season. During the episode, the Deol brothers shared insights into various topics, including box office figures, Dharmendra’s role in “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” and more. In a promotional video that went viral, Bobby also discussed a challenging phase in his career and the support he received from Salman Khan during those tough times.
In the promo, Karan warmly welcomed Sunny and Bobby, acknowledging their successes in projects like “Gadar 2,” the “Aashram” series, and “Love Hostel.” He gave them a standing ovation and praised their achievements. Karan then inquired about Sunny’s mention of “organic box office numbers” for “Gadar 2,” asking if this implied that they were inflating the numbers. Sunny responded by explaining that it reflects how society operates. Karan humorously commented that this is why their show’s tagline is “India ka asli blockbuster” (India’s real blockbuster).
Bobby shared an anecdote about Salman Khan supporting him during a difficult period in his career, saying that when Salman faced his own challenges, he leaned on Sunny for support. Bobby playfully added that he asked Salman to let him do the same. They also discussed watching their father, Dharmendra, in “Rocky Aur Rani…” and jokingly remarked about his on-screen kissing scenes. Sunny quipped that their dad could do whatever he pleased and get away with it. Karan wrapped up the conversation with a light-hearted reference to Sunny’s fondness for teddy bears.
Looking ahead, Sunny is set to appear in “Lahore 1947,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. Meanwhile, Bobby will take on the role of the antagonist in the movie “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor.
