On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dubai, where the Indian diaspora outside his hotel welcomed him with cheers and chants in the vibrant city. His visit was in connection with the COP28 Summit, and upon landing, he was greeted at the airport by the United Arab Emirates’ Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. As he reached his hotel, the Indian diaspora gave Prime Minister Modi an enthusiastic reception, chanting slogans such as ‘Modi, Modi,’ ‘This time, Modi government,’ and ‘Vande Mataram.’
Prime Minister Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude, noting that the warm welcome from the Indian community is a testament to their vibrant culture and strong connections. He also expressed anticipation for the summit, which aims to contribute to a better planet. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address the opening ceremony of the World Climate Action Summit and also participate in three high-level side events, two of which will be co-hosted by our country India.
