Mission Impossible 7 creates a thrilling storm at the Indian Box Office with an extraordinary day one collection! Tom Cruise’s latest action-packed adventure has shattered records and set the cash registers ablaze, leaving both the actor and the filmmakers in awe. With an impressive early estimate of Rs 12.50 crore, MI 7 storms ahead as the biggest opening ever for the Mission Impossible franchise in India, surpassing its predecessor MI 6, which opened at Rs 9.50 crore in 2018.
But that’s not all. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has brought a whole new level of success for Tom Cruise in India, establishing him as a force to be reckoned with at the Box Office. Starting with an occupancy of 16.07 percent during morning shows, the film picked up steam and surged to a remarkable 34.37 percent during the night shows, resulting in a magnificent double-digit opening.
It’s worth noting that no other Mission Impossible film has achieved such a phenomenal start in India. While the first three installments barely made a dent in the country’s market, it was Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in 2011 that ignited the franchise’s popularity, collecting a staggering Rs 46 crore with a modest opening of Rs 4.50 crore. The momentum continued to build with Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation in 2015, raking in Rs 54 crore during its lifetime run, commencing with an opening of Rs 6.30 crore.
In 2018, Mission Impossible: Fallout soared to become the crowning jewel of the action franchise, amassing a colossal Rs 80 crore in its lifetime run after debuting with an impressive Rs 9.25 crore. Now, MI 7 has stepped up its game, surpassing MI 6’s record even without the advantage of a holiday release. With its non-holiday, weekday premiere, MI 7 is poised to claim the throne as the highest-grossing film in the Mission Impossible series, as well as Tom Cruise’s most successful venture in India.
