Uorfi Javed, a former contestant from the first season of Bigg Boss OTT, is well-known for her unconventional fashion choices, which often make her a target for criticism. Recently, she recreated a look from the character played by Rajpal Yadav in the movie ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa.’ This garnered significant attention, but unfortunately, it also led to her receiving “death threats.” Uorfi received an email from an anonymous sender who threatened to cause her harm if she didn’t take down the video.
Following the receipt of this threatening email, the actor promptly reported the matter to the Mumbai Police and shared it on social media (Twitter). She expressed her shock and dismay, saying, “I’m just shocked and appalled by this country, man. I’m receiving death threats for recreating a character from a movie, while the character itself didn’t face any backlash:/.”

Uorfi received threatening emails from two different email addresses. The first email was sent by someone named Nikhil Goswami, and the second email came from Rupesh Kumar. The threat in the emails accused her of “defaming the Hindu religion.” Uorfi Javed gained recognition through her appearance on ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ and has also acted in several TV shows, portraying roles such as Avni in ‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania,’ Aarti in ‘Meri Durga,’ Bella in ‘Bepannaah,’ and Mira in ‘Puncch Beat Season 2,’ which was streamed on ALT Balaji.
Between 2016 and 2017, Uorfi played the role of Chhaya in Star Plus’ ‘Chandra Nandini.’ In 2020, she joined the cast of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ as Shivani Bhatia and later portrayed Tanisha Chakraborty in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay.’ In December 2022, she made a guest appearance and caused some mischief on MTV Splitsvilla X4.
