Bigg Boss 19 Wildcard Malti Chahar: Deepak Chahar’s Sister Who’s Winning Hearts with Her Bold Personality

Updated At: October 9, 2025 2:18 PM

From a disciplined Air Force family in Agra to the drama-filled Bigg Boss 19 house, Malti Chahar’s journey blends education, ambition, and a fearless personality.

Malti Chahar was born on 15 November 1990, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. She comes from a close-knit and disciplined family. Her father, Lokendra Singh Chahar, served in the Indian Air Force, while her mother, Pushpa Chahar, is a homemaker.

Malti is the elder sister of Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar, who plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Team India. Her cousin, Rahul Chahar, is also a well-known cricketer. Growing up in such a family, sports and discipline were always part of her life.

Because of her father’s Air Force postings, Malti spent her early years in different cities before completing her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Agra.

Malti Chahar Education

Malti has always been academically bright. She graduated with a degree in Software Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Lucknow.

Although she pursued a technical field, Malti had a creative side from the beginning. She was interested in art, modeling, and acting. In the Bigg Boss house, she even shared that her father once hoped she would become an IPS officer, but her heart was set on a different path. Her love for performance and expression eventually led her to the entertainment industry.

From Pageants to the Screen

Malti’s entry into the limelight began with beauty pageants. She was crowned Miss India Earth 2009 and later won the Miss Photogenic title at Femina Miss India Delhi 2014. She also reached the finals of Femina Miss India 2014, marking her early success in modeling.

Her charm and personality gained attention during the IPL 2018 season, when she was spotted cheering passionately for Chennai Super Kings. Viewers quickly nicknamed her the “mystery girl,” and she became a social media sensation overnight.

Malti later transitioned into acting. She made her acting debut in 2017 with the short film “Manicure.” She appeared in “Genius” (2018) alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, followed by roles in “Ishq Pashmina” (2022) and “7 Phere: A Dream Housewife.”
In addition to acting, Malti has also explored writing and directing short films, showcasing her creativity beyond the camera.

Wildcard Entry in Bigg Boss 19

Malti Chahar entered Bigg Boss 19 as a wildcard contestant, instantly creating a buzz. Her entry was announced by Salman Khan during a Weekend Ka Vaar episode that also featured a no-elimination week, giving her the perfect start to settle into the game.

She made a grand entry with the full support of her brother Deepak Chahar, who appeared on stage to introduce her. Fans immediately welcomed her addition to the show, expecting her to bring both class and competition.

Her Bigg Boss 19 Journey So Far

Since entering the house, Malti has proven to be outspoken, confident, and unafraid to voice her opinions. Her strong personality has already led to several heated moments.

She clashed with Gaurav Khanna over kitchen duties, argued with Farhana Bhatt during a captaincy task, and even got into a poolside confrontation with Tanya Mittal. These incidents have made her one of the most talked-about contestants of the season.

Despite the conflicts, Malti has also shown emotional depth. In one conversation, she opened up about her strict upbringing and her father’s expectations. She revealed that growing up, she was often discouraged from doing “girly” things like makeup or modeling, but she eventually chose to follow her own dreams.

Her mix of strength and sensitivity has made her stand out, both inside and outside the house.

Fans’ Reactions and Media Buzz

Malti’s presence in Bigg Boss 19 has divided opinions among viewers. Some fans appreciate her straightforward nature and maturity, calling her one of the few contestants who play with authenticity. Others feel her direct approach can be intimidating.

Regardless of opinions, Malti has succeeded in making her presence felt. Social media is filled with discussions about her gameplay, her bold attitude, and her chemistry with other housemates.

Beyond the Reality Show

Before entering Bigg Boss 19, Malti said in interviews that she doesn’t want to be known only as “Deepak Chahar’s sister.” She wants to build her own identity as an actress and performer.

Her participation in the show has given her a bigger platform to connect with the audience, show her real personality, and step out of her brother’s shadow.

With her combination of education, discipline, beauty, and determination, Malti Chahar is proving that she’s more than just a celebrity sibling — she’s carving out her own path in entertainment.

Malti Chahar’s story is a mix of discipline, ambition, and bold choices. From being a software engineer from Agra to a pageant queen, actress, and now Bigg Boss 19 wildcard contestant, her journey reflects courage and transformation.

Inside the Bigg Boss house, she has already become one of the most dynamic and talked-about contestants. Whether she becomes a finalist or not, Malti has clearly made her mark — not just as a wildcard, but as a woman defining her own identity on one of India’s biggest reality stages.
