Chamba town in Himachal Pradesh was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3. Seismic activity was detected in the town and in Manali, approximately 100 kilometers away from Chamba.

The National Center for Seismology reported that the earthquake struck Chamba at 9:34 p.m. on Thursday and a depth of 10 km.

Following the earthquake, there were no reports of casualties or significant property damage.
