In Dhanbad, Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law tragically died in an accident on Saturday. Rajesh Tiwari and his wife Sabita Tiwari, who is Mr. Tripathi’s sister, were traveling from Bihar’s Gopalganj to Kolkata when the accident occurred on the Delhi-Kolkata NH-19 shortly after 3 pm.

Tiwari passed away immediately at the scene, while his wife remains in critical condition.

The highway collision was recorded by CCTV. The footage from the accident site showed the Maruti Swift that Tiwari was driving speeding past a woman waiting to cross the road, then crashing into a divider as he lost control of the vehicle.

Following the accident, Ms. Tiwari was taken to Shahid Nirmal Mahato Medical College in Dhanbad, where she is currently under observation. Doctors have confirmed that she has sustained a severe head injury based on a CT scan.

The Tiwari family’s relatives have informed Mr. Tripathi, the star of Mirzapur, about the incident.
