Delhi continues to grapple with poor air quality for the second consecutive day, as indicated by an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 291 recorded at 7:30 am, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Despite a slight improvement, the city still ranks third among the ten most polluted cities in India. It is noteworthy that Delhi has been experiencing AQI levels in the ‘severe’ to ‘very poor’ range in recent weeks. The air quality saw improvement after light showers on December 3, transitioning from the ‘severe’ category to the ‘poor’ category.
