Horrific Robbery and Dragging Incident Claims Life of Delhi Cab Driver in Mahipalpur

In a horrifying incident in Mahipalpur, Delhi, a taxi driver was tragically robbed and killed as he was dragged for nearly a kilometer on the road. According to reports, the victim, a 43-year-old man named Bijendra and a resident of Faridabad, was the owner of the taxi he was driving. He fell victim to a group of robbers attempting to steal his vehicle. A distressing video, circulating on social media, depicts the driver being forcibly dragged along the road, resulting in severe injuries and ultimately costing him his life.

This incident unfolded on Tuesday, October 10, when a group of robbers targeted Bijendra in an effort to steal his car. The assailants attacked the victim and, in their attempt to escape with his vehicle, dragged him along the road.

The Delhi Police responded to a call reporting a body found near the NH-8 service road in Vasant Kunj North at 11:30 pm. The driver was discovered in a critical condition on the road, suffering from a severe head injury.

A case related to this tragic event has been filed, and the police have initiated an investigation.

In a similar occurrence, a 20-year-old woman lost her life as she was dragged under a car in the Kanjhawala area of Delhi on New Year’s Day. The Delhi Police filed an 800-page chargesheet against the seven individuals involved on April 1, and the case was subsequently referred to a sessions court.
