PM Modi: Dwarka Expressway to Boost India’s Economy

Prime Minister Modi, ahead of his visit to Gurugram to inaugurate the long-awaited Dwarka Expressway, emphasized the significance of such projects in bolstering India’s economic growth. Through social media, he highlighted that these initiatives align with the government’s commitment to develop advanced infrastructure. At noon, he announced the dedication of 112 National Highways across various states, marking a crucial step in enhancing connectivity nationwide.

The inauguration ceremony, which includes the unveiling of 112 National Highway projects worth approximately Rs 1 lakh crore, aims to address traffic congestion and improve connectivity between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48. Notably, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, a 19-km stretch constructed at a cost of around Rs 4,100 crore. This section, featuring two packages from Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and Basai ROB to Kherki Daula, will directly link the IGI Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass.

In addition to the Dwarka Expressway, Prime Minister Modi will unveil several other major projects, including the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) in Delhi, Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, NH16 in Andhra Pradesh, NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh, and sections in Karnataka, among others. These endeavors, totaling Rs 20,500 crore in investment across various states, signify the government’s commitment to comprehensive infrastructure development.
