Today, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. The summit’s theme is ‘Gateway to the Future,’ and it involves the participation of 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations. The Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region is using the platform to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions.
Several industry leaders, including Shri Lakshmi Mittal, Chairman of ArcelorMittal, Mr Toshihiro Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, and Shri Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Group, addressed the occasion. They shared insights into their business plans and praised the vision of the Prime Minister.
International dignitaries, including Vice Minister Shin Hosaka of Japan, Assistant Minister Ibraheem Yoosef al Mubarak of Saudi Arabia, and Prime Minister Petr Fiala of the Czech Republic, also addressed the summit. H.R.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates & Ruler of Abu Dhabi, was a special guest, highlighting the deepening ties between India and the UAE.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi expressed his vision for India to become ‘viksit’ by 2047, marking the next 25 years as the ‘Amrit Kaal’ of the country. He emphasized the significance of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and the partnerships with various nations. The Prime Minister highlighted India’s role as a global leader, showcasing confidence in achieving collective goals and contributing to global stability.
PM Modi outlined India’s economic progress, stating that it is now the 5th largest economy globally, with the aim to become one of the top 3 in the coming years. He discussed the country’s priorities, including sustainable industries, technology, renewable energy, and innovation.
The Prime Minister detailed the structural reforms that have strengthened the Indian economy, leading to a robust banking system, ease of business, and increased global competitiveness. He urged investors to explore opportunities in sectors such as E-Mobility, Start-Ups, Blue Economy, Green Energy, and Smart Infrastructure.
Emphasizing the positive transformations in India, PM Modi noted the rise in the standard of living, the empowerment of citizens, and the increase in female workforce participation. He invited global investors to be part of India’s journey and contribute to shaping the future.
