His gift for storytelling and his deep love for the world of cinema were truly unmatched. His films did more than entertain; they mirrored the evolving society and aspirations of India. Dev Anand, born on September 26, 1923, is hailed as one of Bollywood’s most successful actors, leaving an indelible mark on the film industry. His illustrious career, spanning nearly six decades, showcased his extraordinary talent through iconic roles in films like ‘Guide,’ ‘Taxi Driver,’ ‘Jewel Thief,’ and ‘CID.’ He ventured into uncharted territory, portraying characters ranging from a charismatic smuggler in ‘Jaal’ to an elusive gang member in ‘Dushman,’ a shrewd black marketeer in ‘Kalabazaar,’ and a complex murderer in ‘Bombay Ka Babu.’
