New Delhi : Sakshi, wife of MS Dhoni, shared a viral post during the CSK vs SRH IPL 2024 game, announcing that their baby is on the way. Despite his role as captain or not, Dhoni remains a beloved figure in Indian cricket, known affectionately as ‘Thala’, with a huge fan following always evident when he takes to the field. However, it’s widely recognized that Sakshi is Dhoni’s biggest fan, often seen supporting him at cricket matches. This Monday night at Chidambaram Stadium, Sakshi was once again cheering for Dhoni. As the game neared its end, she posted an Insta story that quickly went viral.
Sakshi’s post stated: “Please finish the game fast today @chennaiipl, baby is on the way… contractions have begun. Request from – to be ‘Bua’!”
Meanwhile, Tushar Deshpande’s impressive bowling performance of 4/27, supported by two wickets each from Mustafizur Rahman and Matheesha Pathirana, led Chennai Super Kings to a convincing 78-run victory over SRH. In pursuit of a target of 213 runs, SRH were dismissed for 134 in 18.5 overs. Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 98 and Daryl Mitchell’s 52 contributed to CSK’s total of 212/3.
With this victory, the Super Kings climbed to the third position on the points table with 10 points. However, SRH, led by Maran, suffered their second consecutive defeat, slipping to fourth place after their fourth loss in the tournament.
