#On Camera: Speeding Motorcyclist Collides with E-Rickshaw in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh; Disturbing CCTV Footage Surfaces
A troubling CCTV footage circulating on social media depicts a speeding motorcyclist crashing into an e-rickshaw head-on as the three-wheeler abruptly turns on a bridge in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
According to police reports, the incident, captured on CCTV, occurred around 12:40 PM on Saturday afternoon. The e-rickshaw driver suddenly halted in the middle of a busy road and attempted to make a U-turn.
The CCTV clip reveals that due to the e-rickshaw’s sudden maneuver, a speeding motorcyclist approaching from the opposite direction lost control of his bike and collided with the e-rickshaw.

The video, which can be viewed here (Trigger Warning: Disturbing Content), shows the motorcycle overturning upon impact, causing the rider, later identified as 21-year-old Akash Singh, to sustain serious injuries from the fall onto the road. The footage also captures the e-rickshaw driver fleeing the scene after the accident.
Meanwhile, Akash Singh was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by bystanders, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police stated that Akash, an employee at a private company, was on his way home when the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon.
A senior police official mentioned that based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, a case has been registered against the e-rickshaw driver under relevant sections of the law at the Kidganj police station.
Further investigation into the matter is ongoing, according to the official.
