“Short in Duration, Monumental in Significance”: Prime Minister Addresses Special Parliament Session

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed that the special parliamentary session commencing today, though brief, holds great significance and will mark historic decisions. In his opening remarks, PM Modi emphasized India’s notable achievements, such as the Chandrayaan moon landing and the successful G20 participation.

He praised the remarkable success of GSLV Mk III-M1, seeing it as a testament to India’s diversity. The Prime Minister underscored the exceptional achievements of the G20, which conveyed a promising future for the nation.

PM Modi pointed out that this session marks the beginning of a fresh chapter in India’s 75-year journey. He sensed a wave of enthusiasm and newfound self-confidence sweeping across the nation. Despite its brevity, this session holds immense importance and is poised to make historic decisions, according to PM Modi.

He articulated the vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, fueled by new energy and belief arising from this unique session. PM Modi urged Members of Parliament to make the most of their time and encouraged them to approach the session with enthusiasm and excitement, avoiding excessive complaints and criticism.

While acknowledging the session’s brevity, PM Modi reaffirmed its extraordinary value. He concluded by invoking the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival, expressing his belief that India’s development journey would be obstacle-free.

The five-day “Amrit Kaal” parliamentary session will feature discussions on the evolution of India’s parliamentary democracy and the consideration of eight bills.
