Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ Box Office Success Faces Tough Battle Against ‘Animal

In the new release film “Sam Bahadur,” actor Vicky Kaushal takes on the role of a Field Marshal name Sam Manekshaw. Set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, where Sam Manekshaw led the Indian Army, resulting in the creation of Bangladesh, the movie has garnered attention. The film had an impressive start, earning Rs 6.25 crore in net sales on its opening day, setting a strong foundation for its initial box office performance.

As reported by sacnilk, the Hindi version of Sam Bahadur achieved an overall occupancy of approximately 56.33% on the third day post-release. The film earned Rs 6.26 crore on its debut day and witnessed improved numbers over the weekend, raking in Rs 9 crore with a 44% surge on Saturday. Currently, the movie has accumulated a total of Rs 25.55 crore.

Sam Bahadur serves as a biopic of Sam Manekshaw, India’s first Field Marshal, who dedicated over forty years to the army and participated in five wars. His historic promotion to the rank of Field Marshal is a significant part of the narrative. The film pays tribute to Manekshaw’s contributions to the Indian army and the nation. Alongside Vicky Kaushal portraying Sam Manekshaw, Sanya Malhotra plays his spouse in Meghna Gulzar’s film, and Fatima Sana Shaikh portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
