Virat Kohli starred with a match-winning century as RCB defeated KKR by 6 wickets in a crucial IPL 2026 playoff race clash
Raipur: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets in Match 57 of IPL 2026 on May 13 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Virat Kohli played an amazing unbeaten innings of 105 runs off 60 balls and helped RCB chase down the target of 193 runs with five balls still left.
This important win helped RCB move to the top of the IPL 2026 points table and improved their chances of finishing in the top two before the playoffs.

According to the latest IPL 2026 standings, RCB are now placed first with 16 points from 12 matches and a strong net run rate of +1.053. Gujarat Titans are also on 16 points from 12 games but remain second because of a lower net run rate of +0.551. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are fifth and sixth respectively with 12 points each from 11 games. Delhi Capitals are seventh with 10 points from 12 matches, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders in eighth place with 9 points from 11 games. Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants are currently at the bottom of the table with 6 points each from 11 matches.

KKR Score 192/4 After Good Batting Performance
Kolkata Knight Riders started their innings with attacking intent. Finn Allen scored a quick 18 runs off just 8 balls before Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed him. Captain Ajinkya Rahane played some good shots during his 19-run knock from 13 balls before Josh Hazlewood got his wicket.
Young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a very important innings for KKR. He scored 71 runs off 46 balls with confident stroke play and kept the scoreboard moving in the middle overs. Cameron Green also made a useful contribution of 32 runs from 24 deliveries before Rasikh Salam dismissed him.
Rinku Singh finished the innings strongly for KKR. He remained unbeaten on 49 runs off 29 balls and hit important boundaries in the final overs. KKR ended their innings at 192/4 in 20 overs.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was run out on the final ball of the innings by Devdutt Padikkal while trying to take a second run.

Devdutt Padikkal supported Kohli really well with 39 runs off 27 balls. Their partnership helped RCB stay ahead in the chase. Rajat Patidar added 11 runs before Sunil Narine dismissed him.
Tim David could score only 2 runs before Kartik Tyagi picked up another wicket. However, Kohli continued batting brilliantly from one end. Jitesh Sharma stayed unbeaten on 8 runs and finished the match with Kohli.
