Delhi Paralympic Committee Chief Parul Singh Receives National Icon Award 2026

New Delhi: The Delhi Paralympic Committee celebrated a proud achievement as its President, Ms. Parul Singh, was awarded the National Icon Award 2026 for her outstanding efforts towards promoting para sports, supporting para-athletes, and creating a more inclusive sporting ecosystem in India. The prestigious award was presented at a special ceremony hosted by Arogya Darpan at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi.

The award was presented to Ms. Parul Singh by a panel of eminent personalities, including Shri Saurabh Kumar Tewari, Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India; Smt. Rashmi Mishra, National Advisor, MSME; Shri Pradeep Gandhi, Former Lok Sabha Member of Parliament; and Shri Ram Verma, Chairman, Organising Committee, National Icon Awards 2026.

The award recognises Ms. Singh’s dedicated efforts towards expanding opportunities for para-athletes, promoting equality in sports, and strengthening the foundation of para sports in Delhi. Through her leadership, the Delhi Paralympic Committee has focused on nurturing emerging talent, encouraging wider participation, and enhancing the visibility and support available to athletes with disabilities.

Sharing her thoughts on the honour, Ms. Parul Singh expressed her gratitude and said, “This recognition belongs to every para-athlete, coach, official, and supporter who has contributed to the growth of para sports and believes in the power of sports to change lives. I dedicate this award to the entire para sports fraternity and will continue working towards creating a more inclusive and empowering platform for all athletes.”

The Delhi Paralympic Committee extended its congratulations to Ms. Parul Singh and expressed confidence that her vision and leadership will continue to inspire athletes while helping shape a more inclusive sports ecosystem across India.
