K.A. Paul urges Tamil Nadu leaders to prioritize cooperation, investment, and development over political rivalry for the state’s long-term growth
New Delhi: Dr. K.A. Paul, founder of the Global Peace Initiative, has appealed to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and his family to stop political attacks on newly elected Chief Minister Vijay and allow him to govern according to the people’s mandate.
Speaking on the political situation in Tamil Nadu, Dr. Paul said democracy functions best when election results are respected and governments are allowed to work without unnecessary obstruction. He claimed that despite Vijay’s respectful approach towards Mr. Stalin, political hostility has continued.
Dr. Paul said Tamil Nadu should now focus on economic development rather than political confrontation. He pointed to issues such as increasing public debt, unemployment, and challenges in education and healthcare, saying the state needs fresh investment and long-term planning.
As part of his efforts, Dr. Paul invited Chief Minister Vijay to participate in the Global Peace Summit in Washington, D.C., on September 24, 2026. According to him, the event will bring together international leaders, investors, and business executives, creating opportunities to attract investment to Tamil Nadu.
He also announced plans to introduce Vijay to U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, entrepreneur Elon Musk, and several global business leaders. Dr. Paul said invitations would also be sent to the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to strengthen regional economic cooperation.
Citing former U.S. President Barack Obama appointing Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State after a tough election battle, Dr. Paul said political rivals should work together in the larger public interest.
He urged leaders across India to embrace clean politics, encourage investment, create employment opportunities, and work collectively for peace and development.
