K. A. Paul Seeks CBI Probe, Sets 30-Day Deadline for Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: Praja Shanthi Party president Dr. K. A. Paul has called on Rahul Gandhi to take action against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy within 30 days. Paul has raised allegations of corruption and misuse of power and demanded a CBI investigation into issues concerning the Telangana government.

In his statement, Paul questioned why the Congress leadership continues to back Revanth Reddy despite the allegations and references to the cash-for-vote case. He argued that the party should address questions concerning its own government while calling for accountability from other political parties.

CBI Inquiry Sought Into Telangana Government

Paul has called for a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the allegations against the Telangana government. He also demanded appropriate legal action in pending cases, without specifying in the statement the procedural status or outcome of each case.

He urged legislators from all political parties in Telangana to raise questions about accountability and press the state government and Congress leadership for answers.

Rahul Gandhi Given 30 Days to Respond

Paul said Rahul Gandhi should respond to the issues he raised within 30 days. He warned that a failure to act would prompt him to pursue legal options.

He also said he was considering a national protest against the Congress leadership if it did not address his demands.

Accountability Remains Central to Paul’s Statement

Paul said political leaders should apply the same standards of accountability to their own parties that they expect from their opponents. He called for transparency and action on the allegations concerning Telangana.

The statement adds to the political criticism directed at the state government. The allegations remain claims made by Paul and should be distinguished from findings established by a court or an authorised investigating agency.
