New Delhi: Parul Singh, president of the Delhi Paralympic Committee, has been honoured with the Khel Ratna Award for her contribution to para sports and her efforts to support athletes with disabilities. The recognition acknowledges work aimed at expanding sporting opportunities and encouraging greater participation in the Paralympic ecosystem.
The award was presented at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi during the Marathi Melava and Sahyadri Ratna Awards ceremony. The programme coincided with the seventh anniversary of the Dainik Rashtra Sahyadri Media Group and brought together dignitaries and people associated with sports and inclusion.
Political Leaders Join the Celebration
The ceremony saw the presence of several public representatives, including Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State for AYUSH and Health and Family Welfare, and Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment.
Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil also attended the event. Former BJP National Vice-President Shyam Jaju and Neela Vikhe Patil, a Member of Parliament representing Stockholm City constituency in Sweden, were among the other attendees.
