NSEFI names Indrayani Mulay as Trade and International Relations Advisor to expand India’s renewable energy exports and strengthen Global South ties
New Delhi: NSEFI has appointed Indrayani Mulay as Advisor – Trade and International Relations to support India’s renewable energy exports and strengthen cooperation with international markets.
With more than 26 years of experience at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mulay brings extensive expertise in international business relations, trade promotion and economic cooperation. Her work has focused significantly on developing India–Africa business ties and creating opportunities for collaboration between industries and institutions.
During her career at CII, she was closely associated with the India–Africa Business Conclave and regional business conclaves across African countries. These platforms facilitated engagement between Indian businesses, African governments, chambers of commerce and industry leaders.
Her international experience also includes engagement with Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, ASEAN and the Pacific Islands.
Mulay’s work has extended beyond trade facilitation to include training, professional development and institutional capacity building. Between 2012 and 2019, she implemented the CII Industrial Services Training Programme, supported by the Ministry of External Affairs. The programme trained representatives of African chambers of commerce and investment promotion agencies.
She has additionally helped African students in India access internships, professional development workshops and industry exposure opportunities.
At NSEFI, Mulay will focus on identifying new export opportunities for Indian renewable energy companies and encouraging business-to-business partnerships. She will also help strengthen institutional relationships with emerging economies and support knowledge sharing on policy, regulations, technical expertise and skills development.
Her appointment comes as India seeks to expand the international presence of its renewable energy manufacturing, technology and project development capabilities.
NSEFI CEO Subrahmanyam Pulipaka said India has an opportunity to share its renewable energy expertise with countries across the Global South. He highlighted the importance of supporting developing economies not only through exports of renewable energy technologies and solutions but also through policy cooperation and technical capacity building.
Pulipaka said Mulay’s experience in international trade and industry cooperation would be valuable in advancing NSEFI’s global engagement and building stronger partnerships.
Through the appointment, NSEFI aims to advance international cooperation and help Indian renewable energy businesses explore opportunities in emerging markets.
