NEW DELHI: Around 2,500 students representing 79 schools across Delhi came together on Wednesday for the opening of Anandotsava ’26, a three-day interschool festival celebrating creativity, culture and social awareness. The festival, organised by Arya Samaj Vasant Vihar and Suraj Bhan D.A.V. Public School, Vasant Vihar, is marking its 40th edition and will continue until October 16.
A key highlight of the opening day was the launch of No Nasha Nation, a youth-focused campaign aimed at raising awareness about substance abuse and encouraging young people to support a drug-free India.
The festival also commemorates the 143rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Anand Swami Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj Vasant Vihar.

Led by Arya Yuva Samaj under National President Yogi Suri, who also serves as Managing Editor of Milap Publications, the campaign seeks to make young people active participants in substance abuse awareness.
The launch included a video presentation, campaign scroll unveiling, a pledge and a missed-call campaign. Students reinforced the message through Champions Without Addiction, a themed choreography, and a street play addressing substance abuse.
Yogi Suri said the initiative aims to motivate students to take the message of a drug-free India to their schools, families and communities. He described Anandotsava as an opportunity to link youth participation with social responsibility.
