New Delhi, August 30, 2025

Shanaya Kapoor and Vikrant Massey’s film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is all set for its digital release. The movie, which hit theatres on July 11, 2025, failed to perform as expected at the box office. However, the makers are now gearing up to present it to a wider audience through an OTT platform.

When and Where to Watch?

Streaming platform ZEE5 announced the premiere date of the film on Instagram. According to the official post, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan will premiere on September 5, 2025, exclusively on ZEE5. Sharing the film’s poster, the platform wrote, “Some emotions are beyond the reach of eyes. Witness the premiere of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan on September 5, only on ZEE5.”

What is the Story About?

The story revolves around Saba, a theatre artist. During a trip to Mussoorie, she blindfolds herself and meets Jahan, a gifted musician who is visually impaired. Both of them come closer while being unaware of each other’s realities.

However, just when Saba is about to take off her blindfold, Jahan distances himself, fearing her changing attitude. The story then takes a leap of three years, with Saba living a new life in Europe. Their paths cross again, leading to an unexpected twist in their journey.

Box Office Performance

Directed by Santosh Singh, the film failed to leave a mark at the box office. Despite Shanaya Kapoor’s much-awaited debut and Vikrant Massey’s remarkable performance, the film could not attract audiences to theatres. In its initial run, it collected only around ₹1.5 to ₹1.6 crore.

Now, all eyes are on whether this film, which stumbled in cinemas, will be able to win the hearts of audiences on the digital platform.
