World-Renowned US Evangelist Calls on Bhagwat to Uphold Peace, Democracy and Equal Rights for All Faiths
NEW DELHI & Washington D.C.: Ahead of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s reported US visit, renowned evangelist, humanitarian and peace advocate Dr. K.A. Paul has called for greater religious freedom, equal rights and peaceful coexistence among communities.
Dr. Paul said he opposed any move to stop Bhagwat from entering or visiting the United States. He argued that principles such as freedom, equality and tolerance must be applied consistently, irrespective of a person’s faith or ideological position.

He maintained that those demanding stronger protections for Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs in India should also respect the freedom of individuals to travel and express their views in the US. According to him, preventing Bhagwat’s visit could weaken the larger message of religious freedom and peaceful coexistence.
Highlighting concerns over violence and the suffering of Christians in Manipur, Dr. Paul said governments and social leaders must ensure the safety and rights of every religious community.
He further appealed to Bhagwat to use his proposed New York speech to send a message of reassurance to Christians and other faith communities. Dr. Paul urged him to reaffirm India’s democratic values, speak against religious violence and assure people that incidents like those witnessed in Manipur would not happen again.
Dr. Paul said a clear appeal for peace from Bhagwat could help reduce mistrust and encourage constructive dialogue between communities. He stressed that differences of faith should not become a source of division.
The peace advocate, who has participated in international initiatives involving leaders of the seven major religions, also encouraged people committed to peace to spread the message of religious harmony and mutual respect.
