New Delhi, March 24, 2026: Marking Rajasthan Day, the ongoing eleven-day Rajasthan Utsav at Bikaner House in New Delhi is witnessing enthusiastic footfall, with stalls featuring authentic Rajasthani cuisine, handicrafts and traditional attire emerging as major crowd-pullers.
Handcrafted Products on Display
Sharing details about the festival, Mr. Om Prakash from RUDA said that around 50 stalls set up by RUDA and Rajeevika are showcasing a rich array of handcrafted products brought in by artisans from across the state. These include handblock bed sheets, suits, sarees, bangles, jewellery, mojris and other traditional items, reflecting Rajasthan’s vibrant craft heritage.
Food Stalls Attract Visitors in Rajasthan Utsav
The food stalls have also been drawing large numbers of visitors, offering popular Rajasthani delicacies such as dal-baati-churma, moong dal, pyaz and dal kachori, and ker-sangri. In view of the Navratri festival, special fasting (vrat) thalis have also recorded strong demand.
Cultural Evening and Inauguration
Additional Resident Commissioner Mrs. Anju Om Prakash informed that the cultural evening began on Tuesday. Moreover, Mr. Anshdeep Singh, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the Rajasthan cadre, inaugurated it. Additionally, the organisers specially invited him to the fair. He also felicitated the winners of the traditional games competitions by distributing prizes.
Traditional Games Add to Festive Spirit:
To enhance visitor engagement and entertainment, organisers have arranged a series of traditional games. These include tug of war, rumal jhapatta, lemon-spoon race, and safa tying competitions. Moreover, participants took part with great enthusiasm. Subsequently, organisers felicitated winners with certificates and special prizes.
The Rajasthan Tourism Department is also hosting daily cultural evenings during the festival, where renowned folk artists from the state are captivating audiences with vibrant music and dance performances.
Rajasthan Utsav to Conclude Tomorrow
The eleven-day Rajasthan Utsav will conclude on Wednesday, with a range of cultural programmes planned for the closing ceremony.
