Resignation Declined; Leadership Cites Need for Continuity in Social Mission
Dr Bhargav Mallappa will continue serving as the National Deputy Chairman of the People Forum of India after National Chairman Dr S. Manimozhyaan declined to accept his resignation, citing the organisation’s ongoing responsibilities and long-term social mission.
In an official communication issued on Sunday, the National Chairman acknowledged Dr Mallappa’s role in strengthening administrative systems and advancing grassroots initiatives. He urged him to remain in office in the larger interest of institutional stability and mission continuity.
Leadership Stresses Organisational Continuity
The letter emphasised the importance of experienced leadership at a time when the organisation is expanding its outreach and consolidating its internal processes. Dr Mallappa’s contribution to structural reforms and social engagement efforts was described as significant.
Responding to the development, Dr Mallappa said the decision to withdraw his resignation was driven by purpose rather than position.
“Public service is not about titles; it is about responsibility. The trust shown by the organisation carries moral weight. After thoughtful reflection, I felt it was important to prioritise continuity and collective vision over personal considerations.”
Renewed Focus on Grassroots Engagement
Dr Mallappa said the recent developments provided clarity and reinforced the founding objectives of building structured and accountable social initiatives. He added that the organisation would now move forward with stronger coordination and deeper grassroots engagement.
He will continue as National Deputy Chairman with immediate effect.
