New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) announced that India has brought the world together to deliberate on artificial intelligence as the five-day AI Impact Summit 2026 commenced at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Placing himself at the centre of the global conversation on AI, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s leadership role and its commitment to ensuring that artificial intelligence serves humanity.
The summit, being held from February 16 to February 20, has gathered world leaders, captains of industry, policymakers, innovators, researchers and technology enthusiasts from across the globe. In his first post on X, PM Modi said that India is hosting the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi and warmly welcomed global leaders and experts attending the event. He emphasised that the theme of the summit, “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya” — meaning welfare for all and happiness for all — reflects a shared global commitment to harness artificial intelligence for human-centric progress.
