New Delhi, November 5, 2025:

The residents of Katyayani Society, Dwarka, led by Delhi Paralympic Committee President Parul Singh, extended a warm and heroic welcome to Team India’s star all-rounder Deepti Sharma upon her return home after India’s historic triumph in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.

India clinched the coveted title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final held at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, on November 2, 2025. The victory marked India’s maiden ICC Women’s World Cup championship, a moment of immense pride for the nation.

Deepti Sharma, who was named the Player of the Tournament, delivered a phenomenal all-round performance throughout the series. She created history by becoming the first player — male or female — to score over 200 runs and claim more than 20 wickets in a single World Cup edition.

Speaking on the occasion, Parul Singh, President of the Delhi Paralympic Committee, said, “Deepti’s achievement is not just a personal milestone — it is a victory for every Indian who believes in hard work, resilience, and national pride. She has proven that determination and discipline can break every barrier and make the impossible possible.”

Residents of Katyayani Society celebrated her homecoming with patriotic fervor, showering her with flowers, cheers, and heartfelt applause. The community honored her as a true daughter of India and a beacon of inspiration for aspiring athletes across the country.
