Updated At: September 8, 2025 4:29 PM

The Ba**ds of Bollywood unravels the games and manipulations of the film industry — the bitter truths behind the glamour.

The much-anticipated trailer of Netflix’s upcoming web series The Ba**ds of Bollywood has finally been released. The excitement surrounding the project is special, as it marks the directorial debut of superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. The moment the trailer dropped, it created a buzz across social media, with audiences praising it as a daring attempt to portray the raw truth of Bollywood’s world of fame and deception.

Story & Characters

The series follows the journey of Aasman Singh, played by Lakshya Lalwani, an ambitious outsider trying to carve a space for himself in the dazzling yet ruthless world of Bollywood. His struggle is shaped by friendships, family ties, and career challenges. By his side are his loyal friend Parvez (Raghav Juyal) and clever manager Sanya (Anya Singh). At home, he has the support of his mother Neeta (Mona Singh), father Rajat (Vijayant Kohli), and uncle Avatar (Manoj Pahwa).

However, his toughest battle begins when he crosses paths with superstar Ajay Talwar (Bobby Deol). Matters become more complicated when Aasman is cast opposite Ajay’s daughter, debutante Karishma (Saher Bambba). Along the way, he encounters manipulative producer Freddy Sodawala (Manish Chaudhari) and Zaraz Saxena (Rajat Bedi), a fading star willing to go to any lengths for a comeback.

Cameos & Music

One of the biggest highlights of the trailer is the slew of star-studded cameos. Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and even Shah Rukh Khan himself appear in the series. SRK not only features on screen but also lends his voice for narration. Reports suggest that the series will also deliver a once-in-a-lifetime moment — all three Khans, Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir, sharing screen space together.

The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and Shashwat Sachdev, whose songs and background score add energy and intensity to the narrative.

Aryan Khan’s “Papa Hain Na” Moment

At the teaser launch event, Aryan Khan gave an emotional speech. He admitted, “I’m very nervous because this is my first time speaking on stage. I’ve been practicing this speech for two days and three nights. If I make a mistake, it’s okay… Papa hain na!

He also shared that the show is the result of four years of hard work, countless discussions, and thousands of retakes, thanking every team member who made it possible.

Release Date

The trailer was unveiled on September 8, 2025. The Ba**ds of Bollywood will begin streaming on Netflix from September 18, 2025.
