Demand Permanent O-Zone Resolution and F-Zone Status

New Delhi, June 26: Residents of the Meethapur area will take out a massive torch march on Sunday, June 28, under the “O-Zone Hatao, Ghar Bachao” campaign, demanding a permanent resolution to the O-Zone issue and the inclusion of the affected area under the F-Zone category.

The march, organized by the O-Zone to F-Zone Sangharsh Samiti, will begin at 6:00 PM from Chaukan Vatika and conclude at Meethapur Chowk. Organisers expect large participation from local residents, social organisations, youth and women.

According to the Sangharsh Samiti, thousands of families have been living under uncertainty for years due to O-Zone restrictions, which they claim have affected the security of their homes, properties and future development. The committee has urged the government to take immediate steps to permanently resolve the issue by bringing the affected area under the F-Zone category.

Leaders of the committee said the campaign represents the collective struggle of local residents for their rights, dignity and secure housing. They said the torch march is intended to draw the attention of the government and concerned authorities to the long-pending demands of the affected families.

The committee has appealed to people from the area to participate in large numbers and show solidarity with the movement. It also reiterated that the agitation will continue until a permanent solution is found and the area is officially included in the F-Zone.

The key demand of the protest is the removal of O-Zone restrictions and the reclassification of the affected area as F-Zone to provide legal protection and certainty to thousands of residents.
