Industry Auction Hub Unveils B2B Digital Marketplace to Modernize India's Industrial Materials Trade with Transparent Online Auctions

Noida Startup Aims to Organise India’s Secondary Materials Sector with Transparent Price Discovery and Logistics Support, Eyeing a ₹2,00,000+ Crore Market

Noida: Industry Auction Hub Pvt. Ltd. (IAH), a Noida-headquartered B2B technology company, has launched industryauctionhub.com, a digital marketplace for industrial commodities, scrap, and surplus industrial assets. The platform seeks to modernise India’s secondary materials sector by offering transparent auctions, verified buyers and sellers, structured transactions, and end-to-end logistics support. Its first phase of operations covers the National Capital Region (NCR).

Industry Auction Hub’s new marketplace addresses a longstanding gap in India’s industrial materials sector, where secondary commodities are largely traded through unorganized, intermediary-led networks that limit transparency and efficient price discovery.

The company believes that formalizing the trade of surplus and reusable industrial materials will accelerate India’s circular economy while helping manufacturers optimize procurement costs and improve resource utilization. The timing is significant, with industry estimates indicating that India could face a scrap shortfall of 13–15 million tonnes by FY30, as demand rises to 61.8 million tonnes against an expected domestic supply of 46.7 million tonnes.

According to Sudhir Agarwal, Co-founder of Industry Auction Hub Pvt. Ltd., “The issue in India is not whether materials exist, but whether buyers can find them. High-value industrial assets remain hidden within fragmented supply chains and informal broker ecosystems. Our goal is to bridge this information gap with a reliable, technology-enabled marketplace that ensures transparency and wider market access.

That is what we are building,” said Sudhir Agarwal, Co-Founder, Industry Auction Hub Private Limited.

IAH operates on a “List, Bid, Deliver” model designed for industrial transactions. Third-party inspectors verify and catalogue inventory within 48 hours of listing. Verified buyers then participate in open, time-bound auctions. Winning transactions employ escrow payment mechanisms, with funds released only after confirmed delivery in an audit compliant environment.

The platform covers ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, industrial surplus inventory, off-specification materials, idle machinery, and related logistics and working capital support for MSME buyers. IAH will also introduce a price-intelligence service offering real-time commodity indices and regional pricing transparency for better decision-making. The platform represents a step toward greater formality, organized price discovery, and efficiency gains across India’s industrial materials ecosystem.
