GTA 6 Gets Two Limited-Edition PS5 DualSense Controllers: Check Price, Pre-Order Date and Release Details

Sony has unveiled Black and White Limited Edition DualSense controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI and Vice City. Pre-orders begin September 10, while the controllers will launch on November 19 alongside GTA 6

New Delhi/Mumbai: If you have never played GTA, then what game have you really played? For millions of gamers around the world, Grand Theft Auto is more than just a video game—it is a gaming experience built around freedom, fast cars, action, open-world exploration and unforgettable characters. And now, after years of anticipation, Rockstar Games is preparing to take players into a brand-new experience with Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6).

As excitement around GTA 6 continues to build, Sony has added another major attraction for PlayStation fans. The company has officially revealed two GTA 6 Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controllers, designed around the distinctive look and atmosphere of Vice City.

The new controllers come in Black and White editions, with both featuring special GTA 6-inspired designs. They are scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, the same day GTA 6 is set to arrive. Pre-orders for both models will begin on September 10, 2026.

GTA 6 DualSense Controllers Inspired by Vice City

Sony has designed the two controllers to capture different sides of Vice City, the fictional location at the heart of GTA 6.

The White Limited Edition represents Vice City during the daytime, drawing inspiration from its beaches, white sands, pastel skies and relaxed coastal atmosphere.

The Black Limited Edition, meanwhile, focuses on the city’s nightlife. Its darker appearance and neon-inspired design are meant to reflect Vice City’s vibrant night-time energy.

Both controllers feature a shimmering, colour-shifting finish, combining the look of a Vice City sunset with the glow of neon lights. This gives the controllers a distinctive appearance that changes depending on the lighting and viewing angle.

Palm Tree Details and GTA 6 Branding

Sony has gone beyond simply changing the colour of its standard DualSense controller.

The new GTA 6 controllers feature custom palm tree details molded directly into the controller shell. This adds a tactile element to the design, while official Grand Theft Auto VI branding further highlights their limited-edition status.

The touchpad and other parts of the controller also carry design elements inspired by GTA 6 and Vice City, giving the accessories a look that should immediately stand out from the standard PS5 DualSense.

For GTA fans and collectors, the controllers could therefore become an attractive piece of GTA 6 merchandise even outside of gameplay.

GTA 6 Will Use DualSense Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers

The new controllers are not just about appearance. GTA 6 will also take advantage of the PS5 DualSense’s key features.

According to Sony, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers will respond dynamically to the action in GTA 6. This means players can experience different sensations and trigger resistance depending on what is happening in the game.

The technology is designed to bring the story of Jason and Lucia to life in a more immersive way, allowing players to experience aspects of the game’s action through the controller itself.

Importantly, these gameplay features are part of GTA 6’s PS5 experience and are not exclusive to the limited-edition controllers.

GTA 6 DualSense Pre-Orders Start September 10

Gamers interested in purchasing either of the special controllers will not have to wait until November.

Sony has confirmed that pre-orders will begin on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time in several markets. In the US, PlayStation Direct pre-orders will begin at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET.

However, availability will be limited. The White Edition will be sold through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers in selected markets, while the Black Edition will be available through PlayStation Direct where the service operates and through select retailers in other regions.

GTA 6 DualSense Controller Price

Both GTA 6 Limited Edition DualSense controllers have a recommended retail price of $84.99 in the United States.

Sony has also listed regional prices of €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the UK and ¥12,480 in Japan, including tax.

Sony has not yet provided confirmed Indian pricing in the announcement, so Indian buyers will have to wait for details regarding local availability and pricing.

GTA 6 Release Date: November 19, 2026

The new controllers will arrive on November 19, 2026, alongside Grand Theft Auto VI.

GTA 6 is expected to take players back to the world of Vice City, this time with Jason and Lucia at the centre of the story. With its open-world setting, new characters and next-generation gameplay, the title is already one of the most anticipated games of the year.

For gamers who have grown up playing GTA, the arrival of GTA 6 represents more than another sequel. It marks the return of one of gaming’s biggest franchises after a long wait.

And now, with Sony bringing out special-edition DualSense controllers, fans will have another way to experience the GTA 6 era both on the screen and in their hands.
