Abhishek Bajaj’s rise from TV to Bollywood and now his fiery Bigg Boss 19 journey

Abhishek Bajaj was born on 24 October 1991 in New Delhi, into a Punjabi family. His father Parveen Bajaj and mother Anita Bajaj supported his dreams from the very beginning. He is also very close to his sisters, Ekta and Ambika, who have stood by him throughout his journey.

From TV Serials to Bollywood Films

Abhishek began his career in television with Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi (2011) and went on to appear in popular shows such as Silsila Pyaar Ka, Santoshi Maa, and Dil De Ke Dekho. His role as Rahul in Dil De Ke Dekho earned him recognition on the small screen.

He made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with Student of the Year 2, later featuring in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021), Babli Bouncer (2022), and the OTT film The Coin. With a balance of TV, films, and web projects, Abhishek has built a diverse acting career.

Personal Life: Love and Breakup

Abhishek was in a relationship with lifestyle content creator Akanksha Jindal for seven years. The couple got engaged and married in 2017, but the relationship ended within two years. Their separation has often been discussed, especially after Abhishek’s entry into Bigg Boss 19.

Why He Chose Bigg Boss 19

Abhishek revealed that he had been approached for Bigg Boss multiple times in the past but only agreed to join in Season 19. He said he had already explored TV, films, ads, and music videos, and reality TV was the next challenge left to face.

He describes himself as fun-loving, courageous, disciplined, and resilient, while also admitting that his Punjabi temper sometimes makes him short-fused. Apart from acting, he enjoys writing poetry and rapping, talents he plans to showcase inside the house.

Clashes, Controversies, and Confrontations

Rivalries with Baseer Ali

Abhishek’s Bigg Boss journey has been packed with drama. In one captaincy task, he lost to Baseer Ali, sparking a rivalry that soon turned into heated arguments. A later task turned physical when both fought over a blackboard, with Baseer throwing it into the pool in anger.

The Farhana Bhatt Incident

Abhishek landed in controversy after lifting fellow contestant Farhana Bhatt during a task without her clear consent. Though he apologized immediately, contestants like Nehal Chudasama demanded strict punishment, igniting further debate inside the house.

Food Fight with Amaal Mallik

He also clashed with singer Amaal Mallik over food distribution, with Amaal accusing him of taking more than his share. The fight escalated quickly, adding to Abhishek’s list of confrontations.

Feud with Nehal Chudasama

His tension with Nehal Chudasama continued when she slipped while teasing him during a nomination task. The video went viral, with viewers calling it “instant karma.”

A Mix of Fire and Vulnerability

Even though he often finds himself in conflicts, Abhishek has shown a softer side by admitting mistakes and apologizing when required. He has also openly said he does not know how to cook, which became both a weakness and a relatable trait for many viewers.

This mix of aggression and honesty has made him one of the most talked-about contestants of the season. While some viewers see him as straightforward and real, others criticize him for being too reactive.
