Bihar launches a revamped Single Window Clearance Portal with 62 services across 9 departments to simplify approvals and investor facilitation
Patna: Bihar has upgraded its Single Window Clearance Portal with a range of digital services aimed at simplifying the approval process for investors.
The Department of Industries has brought 62 services from 9 departments onto the revamped platform. Industries Department Secretary Shri Kundan Kumar launched the portal in the presence of senior officials and representatives of industry associations.
The new system gives investors one place to check applicable approvals, submit applications, upload existing licences and monitor the status of their applications.
Services from departments and agencies dealing with pollution control, excise and registration, legal metrology, water resources, fire services, electricity distribution, environment and forests, road construction, and revenue and land reforms are available through the platform.
New KYA System Helps Investors Identify Approvals
One of the key features of the upgraded portal is the Know Your Approval (KYA) module.
The module helps investors determine which approvals they need based on the stage of their project. It provides separate options for Pre-Establishment and Pre-Operation requirements.
Once an approval is identified, users can move directly to the application facility.
The portal also provides pre-application support through features such as Register Your Intent, Strategic Partnership and Investor Facilitation. Investors can use these facilities to connect with designated sector and district officials, access their contact information and schedule appointments.
Government Focuses on Digital Investor Services
Shri Kundan Kumar said the revamped Single Window system would provide greater transparency and visibility during the approval process.
According to him, integrating approval-related services and investor support on one platform will help investors track their requirements and applications more easily.
Shri Mukul Kumar Gupta, Director, Industries, said the upgraded portal is intended to reduce procedural complexity by bringing approval identification, applications, document submission and investor facilitation together.
The Industries Department said it plans to further expand the portal as part of its efforts to build a more integrated and responsive investor service system in Bihar.
