The first edition of HRDS INDIA’s Veer Savarkar International Impact Award recognises leaders whose work demonstrates national influence, societal contribution, and visionary service, with Dr. Shashi Tharoor among the honourees.

HRDS INDIA is set to host the inaugural edition of the Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025 on 10 December at the NDMC Convention Hall, New Delhi. The ceremony will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, with Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha attending as the Chief Dignitary.

Among the six distinguished awardees, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, will be recognised for his significant contributions to public service, national discourse, and societal development. The award honours individuals from diverse fields whose work demonstrates measurable impact and long-term benefit to society.

Dr. Tharoor’s selection reflects his far-reaching influence across both national and international platforms. With a notable tenure at the United Nations and continued service in Parliament, he has consistently shaped conversations on diplomacy, education, and inclusive growth. A prolific author of over twenty books, he has enhanced public understanding of India’s history, culture, and global presence. His recognition as an inaugural awardee underlines the award’s focus on meaningful and multidimensional societal contributions.

The Veer Savarkar International Impact Award honours the legacy of Shri Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a revolutionary thinker, social reformer, and visionary patriot. His moral courage, visionary thought, and dedication to national transformation continue to inspire India’s developmental journey. Through this award, HRDS INDIA recognises individuals whose work aligns with these ideals and contributes to the nation’s progress.

The event will bring together national leaders, policymakers, scholars, civil society members, and changemakers for an evening celebrating contributions that reinforce India’s democratic, social, and developmental framework.
