Entrance Exams 2026: JEE Main, CUET UG, CUET PG Dates, Registrations and Full Admission Schedule

From JEE Main to CUET PG, several national and state entrance exams will shape undergraduate and postgraduate admissions in 2026

The year 2026 is crucial for students across India who are planning admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering, medical, design, and professional courses. During this year, several national and state-level entrance exams will be conducted. Along with exams, registration periods, result dates, and counselling rounds will also take place. Therefore, students and parents should stay alert and regularly check updates to ensure a smooth admission process.

Major National Entrance Exams in 2026

JEE Main 2026

The National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Main 2026 for engineering admissions in two sessions. These exams will decide entry into NITs, IIITs, and many other engineering colleges. In addition, JEE Main also acts as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced.

Session 1: January 21 to January 30, 2026

Session 2: April 1 to April 10, 2026

CUET UG 2026

Additionally, institutions such as Delhi University, BHU, and JNU will use CUET UG scores for their selection process.

CUET PG 2026

The CUET PG 2026 exam will be held for admission to postgraduate courses including MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, and other PG programmes. Several universities, including Delhi University, will consider CUET PG scores for admissions.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2026

The application process for the NIFT Entrance Exam 2026 is currently open. This exam provides admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in fashion and design. The Bihar D.EL.ED 2026 entrance exam registration deadline has been extended. Now, students can apply until January 9, 2026, which gives them extra time to complete the application process.

Admission and Counselling Updates

Gujarat Technical and Medical Admissions

Gujarat authorities will conduct two rounds of counselling for technical courses to fill nearly 21,000 vacant seats. The entire admission process must be completed by January 19, 2026.

At the same time, the final round of medical and dental counselling has already ended. Eligible candidates can apply for fee refunds until January 20, 2026.
