Public-private collaboration to bring specialised maternal healthcare closer to women in Pune
Pune: Celebrating its first anniversary, MatCare Pune launched Janani Arogya Shibir at the Symbiosis Auditorium in Viman Nagar, reinforcing its commitment to improving access to specialised care for women and expectant mothers.
Hon’ble Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Cabinet Minister, Government of India, inaugurated the event and led the launch. He also released the ANC handbook and formally launched the 100-camp network across Pune. Moreover, senior leaders attended the successful launch. These included Dr. Nikhil Yadav, CEO, MatCare, and Dr. Pravin Thokal, Gynaecologist, MatCare Pune. In addition, Dr. Vrushali Bichkar, National Neonatology Head, MatCare, joined the event. Furthermore, Dr. Amol Lunkad, Medical Superintendent, MatCare, and Zonal Business Director, Indira IVF, was present. Lastly, Dr. Ishita Lunkad, Facility Director, MatCare, also attended the launch.

Janani Arogya Shibir brings free antenatal and women’s health consultations directly to communities through 100 antenatal camps across Pune on the same day, while the ANC handbook provides lasting guidance for expectant mothers.
