Mukesh Ambani Announces Major Projects in Clean Energy, AI, Jobs, and Development, Praises PM Modi’s Leadership

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani made a landmark announcement at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit, revealing that Reliance will invest ₹7 lakh crore in Gujarat over the next five years. This is one of the largest investment plans announced in the state so far, reflecting Reliance’s strong confidence in Gujarat’s growth and potential.

Reliance Doubles Its Investment in Gujarat

Mukesh Ambani highlighted that Reliance had already invested ₹3.5 lakh crore in Gujarat over the last five years. Now, with this new commitment of ₹7 lakh crore, Reliance has effectively doubled its investment, taking its total contribution to the state to unprecedented levels.

Calling Gujarat the “body, heart, and soul” of Reliance Industries, Ambani said the state has played a crucial role in the company’s journey and will continue to do so in the future.

World’s Largest Clean Energy Project in Jamnagar

In addition, Reliance will develop a multi-gigawatt solar power project in Kutch. It will use modern energy storage systems to provide clean electricity day and night. This project will reduce pollution and support India’s renewable energy goals.

Big Push for AI and Digital Technology

Reliance will establish India’s largest AI-ready data centre in Jamnagar to support next-generation digital services.

Through this project, Jio will introduce a “people-first” AI platform. Ambani explained that, through this platform, AI will become easy, affordable, and accessible. Moreover, it will operate in local languages and on personal devices, ensuring that people across India can benefit from its features.

Support for Sports, Healthcare, and Education

In addition, Reliance will support PM Narendra Modi’s vision of hosting the 2036 Olympic Games in Ahmedabad. To achieve this, the company will work closely with the Gujarat government to manage the Veer Savarkar Multi-Sports Complex in Naranpura.

Furthermore, Ambani announced plans to build a world-class hospital in Jamnagar and expand Reliance’s school network, aiming to strengthen healthcare and education throughout the state.

Creating Jobs and Better Livelihoods

Beyond these initiatives, the investment will generate numerous jobs, enhance skills, and increase incomes for people in Gujarat and across India. Ambani highlighted that young people will benefit the most, as they gain employment opportunities in future-ready industries, preparing them for the demands of tomorrow’s economy.

The Vibrant Gujarat Summit also saw other major announcements. The Adani Group revealed a ₹1.5 lakh crore investment plan for Kutch, while the Welspun Group announced a ₹5,000 crore expansion. These moves highlight Gujarat’s growing importance as a global investment hub.
