PM Modi says both nations will expand trade, critical minerals, digital and technology cooperation to strengthen strategic ties over five years
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) and Brazil President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Saturday agreed to increase bilateral trade to $20 billion within the next five years. The two leaders also signed important agreements in rare earth minerals, digital partnership and mining cooperation.
After delegation-level talks in New Delhi, both leaders addressed a joint press conference and shared details of their discussions. They said they want to deepen the India–Brazil strategic and economic partnership across several important sectors.
Warm Welcome to President Lula
Prime Minister Modi welcomed President Lula and his delegation, which included senior ministers and business leaders.
