New Delhi: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Health Fitness Trust will organise the 24th edition of “Run Against Drug Abuse 2026” at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, with the aim of strengthening the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan as a mass movement. Supported by the Government of India and with State Bank of India (SBI) serving as the Title Sponsor, the initiative will see participation from more than 2,500 citizens committed to the vision of a healthy and drug-free India.
Led by the team of Dr. Sunita Godara, Asian Marathon Gold Medalist (1992), the event will welcome students, fitness enthusiasts, professionals, senior citizens and members of civil society.
Shri Ravinder Indraj, Social Welfare Minister, Government of Delhi, and Shri Vijay Goel, Vice Chairman, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti (GSDS), along with other distinguished dignitaries, will flag off the 1-km Mass Awareness Walk/Run, setting the tone for a day dedicated to fitness, awareness and social responsibility.
Following the flag-off, all participants will take the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) Pledge, reaffirming their resolve to build a drug-free society. They will then participate in the Common Yoga Protocol session, celebrating the spirit of International Yoga Day and highlighting the role of yoga in promoting physical health, mental well-being and a balanced lifestyle.
The programme will conclude with a symbolic walk/run led by the dignitaries, reinforcing the message that every step towards fitness is a step towards a stronger, healthier and addiction-free India.
By combining running, yoga and community participation on one platform, Health Fitness Trust aims to transform the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan into a people’s movement, inspiring individuals to become ambassadors of positive change and take the message of a drug-free India to every family and every community.
