RCB vs DC: Nandani Sharma Leads DC with 3 Wickets as Capitals Bowl Out RCB for 109
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) took place at the Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara, on January 24. After winning the toss, Delhi Capitals elected to bowl first, a move that quickly paid dividends as their bowlers controlled the game from start to finish.
RCB Struggled
RCB found it difficult to settle at the crease as Delhi Capitals struck early and continued to take wickets at regular intervals. As a result, RCB failed to build any solid partnerships and remained under pressure throughout the innings.
Captain Smriti Mandhana tried to hold things together and emerged as RCB’s top scorer with 38 runs off 34 balls, including six boundaries. However, she did not receive much support from the other batters.
Radha Yadav contributed 18 runs from 17 balls, while Georgia Voll added 11 off 14 deliveries. Despite these efforts, the lack of consistency across the batting line-up meant RCB could only manage 109 runs before being bowled out in the final over.

Delhi Capitals Deliver Complete Performance
Delhi Capitals produced a sharp and disciplined bowling display, keeping runs in check and forcing mistakes from the RCB batters.
Nandani Sharma led the attack with an impressive spell of 3 wickets for 26 runs. She received strong support from Marizanne Kapp, who claimed 2 wickets for just 17 runs, and Chinelle Henry, who also picked up 2 wickets.
Meanwhile, Minnu Mani chipped in with 2 wickets, while Nallapureddy Charani bowled economically, conceding only 14 runs in her four overs. Together, the DC bowlers ensured RCB never recovered after losing early wickets.
Match situation at the break
At the end of the first innings, Delhi Capitals were yet to bat, needing 110 runs to win. With all ten wickets in hand and a modest target ahead, DC were clearly on top. Live match data reflected this dominance, showing a 94% win probability in favour of Delhi Capitals, compared to just 6% for RCB.
