CUET UG 2026 application process is ongoing as NTA asks students to register before the deadline
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online registration for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. However, the registration window will close on 30 January 2026 at 11:50 pm. Students who want to take admission to undergraduate courses must apply before this deadline.
Who Should apply?
Students who want to study undergraduate at central, state, private, or deemed universities in India must take the CUET UG exam. The exam covers courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, and many other programmes.

Why the Deadline Matters
NTA has clearly said it will accept only those applications where students complete the form and pay the fee successfully. As the last date comes closer, the agency has advised students to apply early to avoid website delays or technical issues.
How to Fill Out the Application Form
- First, go to the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.
- Then, click on New Candidate Registration.
- After that, enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
- Next, create a password and verify your details using the OTP sent to you.
- Once completed, log in with your application number and password.
- Now, fill in your personal details, including your address and category.
- Afterwards, enter your Class 10 and Class 12 details.
- Then, provide a current passport-size photo and your signature in the format specified.
- Before proceeding, carefully review all of the details.
- Finally, pay the application fee with your debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Your application is complete only after the payment is successful.
Correction Window and Exam Schedule
After submitting the form, NTA will open a correction window from 2 to 4 February 2026, during which students can fix mistakes in their applications. The CUET UG 2026 exam will take place between 11 May and 31 May 2026 in computer-based mode. The NTA will release admit cards in the first week of May 2026.
